Mental health reading group

Members of the local community who are living with or recovering from mental health problems are invited to join a new reading group in Midsomer Norton.

The Next Chapter is for people who enjoy reading or listening to stories and poems.

Sue Hall, who is helping to run the group, said: "Unlike the usual book group we actually read the stories and poems out loud, and discuss them as we go along.

"But you don't have to read if you don't want to. Many members prefer to sit back and enjoy being read to by the reader facilitator."

The group meets every Friday at 11am in the Old Town Hall in Midsomer Norton. It is free and refreshments are available.
