Support for those in helping professions / therapists

I just wanted to see if there was anyone who worked as a therapist or helper and had difficulties with mental health themselves. With some therapies there is a support system set up so that counsellors can always get counselling etc. But I work mainly as a holistic therapist and spiritual coach. My work is highly intuitive and empathic but I don't really have a support network.

Re: Support for those in helping professions / therapists

Hi, I am a person centred therapist and also work in a support role for people struggling with mental health difficulties. I am also affected by bi polar. Do you have an organisation/journal you subscribe to? They can lead to contacts. I do have peer support but also undertake counselling when I need it, do you have peers who you could set up a regular support meeting or 121. Its not easy but vital you nourish and replenish yourself to remain able to give to others as I am sure you know.
